Bringing humanity to life

Be a part of our inclusive community where everyone is welcomed, embraced and challenged.

The Pelican Community and Function Centre aims to provide an affordable venue for diverse community groups. It is suitable for a range of activities, including classes, dinners, and parties.

It was the early Church that said: “The Glory of God is the human person fully alive.” We are a community working towards a fully flourishing humanity, alive to beauty, dignity and love.

The Church of the Resurrection is centrally located in Perth’s western suburbs. We offer a friendly, welcoming, and dignified church wedding ceremony in a unique, inspiring location.

Maundy Thursday - 7pm

Thursday 18 April, 7:00 pm
Maundy Thursday takes its name from the ‘mandantum,’ Christ’s mandate to the church, his new commandment given to the company of disciples:
“Love one another, as I have loved you.”
We sit at table with the one who feeds us with his own hand:
“Do this to re-member me.” This is the night for the humble intimacy of foot-washing, where we find that our way needs to be Jesus’ way, the way of humble service to all. It’s not just that we are called to be Christ for others, it is that others - all others - are Christ for us. In each of them; beautiful or ugly, the divine image sparkling or broken into pieces; we can see God. Finally we take up the plea of Jesus as we come to the prayer vigil:
“Could you not watch with me one hour?
In the silence and the darkness, we are comforted with Christ’s sacramental presence.
